Creative Spaces & Places
Creative Spaces and Places (S/Places) are organisations who provide opportunities for artistic participation for people who are marginalised or disadvantaged. They are places of sharing, learning, support and creativity where people work in the interests of a healthy community. Creative Spaces are spaces that have usually a formal structure with an intention to support artists in this sector. Creative Places are recognized as more informal opportunities that may have a limited life but still provide similar resources. In recent years, the benefits provided by Creative S/Places in the community have become more widely recognised and enjoyed across a variety of sectors.
