Creativity in Challenging Times: forum speakers

5 July 2011
Creativity in Challenging Times, a two-day forum in Wellington for leaders and future leaders of creative spaces and community arts organisations, provided an opportunity for participants to hear a number of guess speakers talking on a range of subjects – from funding and philanthropy to leadership in disability arts, the New Zealand economy, new media and marketing, and getting your groove back.

The forum was organised by Arts Access Aotearoa and funded by Creative New Zealand with support from the Museum Hotel and Wellington City Council. It was attended by approximately 35 people representing creative spaces from around the country.

As well as hearing from the guest speakers, participants valued the chance to network with each other, discuss challenges, and share resources and ideas.

Over the two days, a number of participants did small presentations about their creative spaces – the rewards, the challenges and the future.
