Prison arts

The arts and creative expression can be a powerful tool in the rehabilitation of prisoners and in helping ex-offenders re-integrate with society. This section profiles stories about arts projects in New Zealand prisons. It will also provide information about the development of a national arts strategy and individual arts plans for New Zealand prisons, being undertaken by Arts Access Aotearoa in partnership with the Department of Corrections.
