Minority voices

14 November 2009
In New Zealand’s most recent census, 38,000 New Zealanders culturally identified themselves as Middle Eastern, Latin American or African. These and other emerging communities will be the focus of Minority Voice, a new documentary series to air on TV ONE.

Each week, through a collection of personal stories, a cross-section of migrants and refugees will share the issues and experiences that have helped shape their resettlement as new New Zealanders.

Production company ButoBase would like to hear about the experiences of migrants and refugees. Whether it’s been easy or a challenge to settle in New Zealand,  ButoBase is looking for stories about language, health, education, employment and cultural retention.

Minority Voice will visit schools, places of work and community groups to provide a series that aims to inspire, entertain and educate.
